#62: Completed
I will admit, I cheated on this one. But I am still going to count it and you will see why. Our deck was starting to look pretty rough and really needed some tender, love and care. I mentioned to my mom all the things I wanted cleaned or fixed before Mary Rene’s birthday (we are having a party in our backyard) and staining the deck was one of them. Then my mom said to my dad, “we should stain her deck for her birthday.” And my dad agreed. So for my 30th birthday, my amazing dad power-washed and stained my back deck. My parents go over the moon for us kids and I am so very thankful to have them as parents. Anytime I need help they are just a call away. They never hesitate and are always reaching out a helping hand. I really appreciate everything they do for us and will be forever grateful.

I should mentioned that my dad is also replacing my back brakes on my Jeep. I’m so loved.

That looks great! And totally counts. I think that it is wonderful that your parents would put so much energy into a gift that is really what you need.
